Niche Blueprint Review
Steven Clayton and Tim Godfrey are well known for their Commission Blueprint launched in August 2008. Commission Blueprint was well received in the internet marketing arena as a complete course focusing on PPC with step by step information on how to set up and track adwords campaigns, and how to get your Quality Score very high while bringing your Cost Per Click down. Following the huge success of Commission Blueprint, the creators have launched a new product, Niche Blueprint. This time they have teamed up with Hermansen brothers whom you might know, featured in New York Times for selling a Bird-cage store for $173,000.
What’s Niche Blueprint all About?
Niche Blueprint is essentially an e-commerce course coaching entrepreneurs how to set up an online store selling physical products in a particular niche. Niche Blueprint comes in 4 core modules with 23 videos and 26 manuals covering:
1. Market research and finding niche markets, even in very competitive field such as “Golf”.
2. Choosing the right domain for branding and SEO.
3. Search engine optimization strategies
4. Finding wholesalers that offer drop shipping.
5. Building an ecommerce from scratch – setting up a catalog, shopping cart, payment gateway, toll-free number, brand logo, and store template
6. Promoting the ecommerce store with free traffic
7. Managing the store on a daily basis
8. Outsourcing various tasks for the ecommerce store
9. Flipping the store for quick revenue.
Niche Blueprint – The Good
The Niche Blueprint videos and manuals are well structured and professionally developed.
Niche Blueprint not only has all the training material but also comes with all the tools and software needed to setup the e-commerce store:
E-commerce platform that also track sales.
Huge selection of online store templates
Free hosting for a year,
Free keyword tool
Live coaching via UStream
Comprehensive Wholesale directory rivalling popular brands – worth $300 to gain access.
Niche Blueprint – The Bad
Niche Blueprint paints a rosy picture of e-commerce store but in reality dealing with physical products is not as straightforward. Some drop-shippers can be unreliable and they can send your customers the wrong items. There is quite a lot involve in setting up the store, taking online payment via credit card and linking everything with the drop-ship supplier. Niche Blueprint may tell you how do to do most of the above, but executing it may be a whole lot of effort and involve more overhead. Moreover, you will need to handle customer support. In order to gain customers confidence, most successful e-commerce stores have phone support which can be quite time consuming and nerve wrecking.
Niche Blueprint – The Ugly
Video 3 shows a $15k monthly screenshots from the developers’ e-commerce store. This paycheck may seem very tempting but what should also be stressed out is that the store owner may only be pocketing 30-35% of that income since there are costs involved, such as paying the supplier for supplying and shipping the product. There are other additional costs such as income tax, outsourcing, customer support, web design and hosting.
The authors of Niche Blueprint were also unsuccessful in flipping the Train Horn site pbmissions.com website about 6 months ago at Sitepoint.com. This is quite ironic given that one of the video is about “Flipping e-commerce store for quick cash”.
Who is it for?
Although Niche Blueprint goes right down to the very basics, it would be a huge learning curve for the novice. Niche Blueprint is for online entrepreneurs who already have some experience online – e.g. setting up a simple website selling a digital product. The owner of the store will also need to dedicate some time to maintain the e-commerce site on a daily basis and also responding to customer support.
Final Rating
As far as launching an e-commerce store, Niche Blueprint is perhaps the most comprehensive course on the market. Besides the step by step information outlined in the course, the bonuses well and truly provide the buyers with the arsenal required to setting up a profitable e-commerce store.
