Internet Marketing Gurus are promoting Jeff Alderson’s Search Engine Phantom as their “Top Pick”. Three years ago, Jeff’s products like Traffic Equalizer, RSS Equalizer and Adwords Analyzer were big hits on the market. Making money with page generator software was really easy and people were making thousands of dollars from Adsense. As search engines started being flooded with those PG websites with poor content value, Google and Yahoo hit back by making some major changes to their algorithm. Overnight people making thousands of dollars from Adsense saw their revenue plummet.

SE phantom is a package of software, which Jeff described as his “Secret Ingredients”:
1. Traffic Equalizer
2. RSS Equalizer
3. Sitemap Equalizer
4. SEO Spider
Search Engine Phantom - A complete rip off
Whilst internet marketers describe SEO phantom as their “Top Pick”, it is in fact not much value for money and is simply a hyped product. Here is why:
- All those modules are not so “secret” - Traffic Equalizer, RSS Equalizer and SEO Spider have been around for 3 years. These programs are “outdated” as Jeff Alderson has not updated them for more than a year. He even sold the resell rights and the source codes for these software, hence depreciating their market value. Usually when a developer sells his source codes to the public, it means that he is giving up on the software and does not intend to update it.
- To generate pages, Traffic Equalizer simply scrapes content from search engine result pages. This used to work wonders 3 years ago but now Google and Yahoo can easily detect those scraped machine generated pages with useless information.
- RSS Equalizer simply takes content from RSS Feeds and add these to the generated pages. Since RSS feeds are dynamic, it gives the impression that these webpages are being updated with fresh content. But search engines are much smarter and their duplicate content filter technology quickly identifies these pages and penalize them for duplicate content.
- There are better alternatives to Traffic Equalizer and they are free : YACG and RSSGM. These programs are open source software, hence are being updated all the times.
- SEO Phantom sales page claim that using RSS Equalizer will boost page rank by providing high quality content. This is simply not true as page rank is not determined at all by page content but by link popularity i.e. how many sites have backlinks pointing to a particular site.
Final Comment
SE phantom is simply a package of 4 outdated programs. Jeff Alderson would have had a bit more credibility if he had made at least an effort to update his software. It is regrettable to see how some internet marketers exploit their customers by providing misleading information.
